La Salle Elementary Schools are designated Title 1 Schoolwide according to the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001. The schoolwide program’s primary goal is to ensure that all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate at least proficient levels of achievement according to Illinois Learning Standards. Students receive instructional support both in the classroom and in pullout settings from qualified Title 1 teachers. Individual students are not identified as eligible to participate.
Projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money must credit the Federal government for the Federal government's portion of the financial support.
This web page citation informs the public that the use of Federal dollars in La Salle Elementary Schools meets the Stevens Amendment requirement. Staff development opportunities, resource purchases and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with Federal entitlement dollars.
